Butter Tarts
Our award-winners — plain, raisin, pecan and more, with that signature glossy filling.
A little maroon sign, a case full of pies and tarts, and ribbons on the wall to prove it. Come find us between Port Hope and Cobourg.
Everything is homemade in small batches. The butter tarts are the headliners — but the pies, squares and cookies have their own loyal following.

Apple, pumpkin, strawberry-rhubarb and the seasons in between — whole or by the slice.
Fudgy brownies, coconut squares and a rotating case of homemade treats under the glass domes.
Cookies, scones and small-batch baking that change with what's good that week.
Real photos of Betty's — the tarts, the cases, the little roadside shop people drive out of their way for.

Betty's sits in a little brick shop on County Road 2, right between Port Hope and Cobourg. Pull up to the maroon sign and the bonnet-lady out front, and you'll find a case full of homemade pies, squares and the tarts people keep coming back for.
Those butter tarts aren't just local legend — they've taken home ribbons at the fair, and there's a wall of them inside to prove it. Everything is baked in small batches the old-fashioned way.
Whether you're on the butter-tart trail or just driving past, it's the kind of stop that turns into a regular habit.
